Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew is ready to dump Swansea City for 'boyhood' club Liverpool in the summer, his agent has revealed.

Mark Mckay, the representative of the Ghana international, has revealed Ayew is keen to join the Reds.

“It has always been Andre’s dream to play for Liverpool but unfortunately they opted to pursue other targets at the time.”McKay told ExcelFoot

The burning desire of the former Marseille man to play for Liverpool is well documented after he admitted he would willingly join the side without wages.

The Ghana super star thought Liverpool a bitter lesson over the weekend when he bagged a sensational brace for Swansea City in their famous 3-1 win at the Liberty stadium.

Ayew was a free agent after his contract ran down at Marseille and the boyhood Liverpool fan was so keen to play for the Anfield club he offered to play without wages until January to prove himself in a bid to convince them to sign him. But the Reds opted to pursue other players, with Danny Ings and Divock Origi already signed and Christian Benteke joining for £32.5m.

Borussia Dortmund, then under Jurgen Klopp's management, offered £7million for Ayew the season before his contract ran down at Marseille but he wanted to play in the Premier League.

The Ghana international has impressed at Swansea this season and was the subject of interest from Sunderland in January.
