Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong might now be largely irrelevant after moving out to Russia to play for minnows Ufa FC, but he’s still got plenty to say about former club Arsenal.

Frimpong's complaints centre around the club failing to sign a centre-back and defensive midfielder, common complaints among fans of the club.

Frimpong is known for his big talking antics on social media and they continued following the Gunners’ 2-1 victory over Anderlecht, with the midfielder giving Arsene Wenger a brutal roasting over his transfer policy.

The Ghana international let rip at his former side when they were trailing to Anderlecht.

This time last year the 22-year-old was still contracted to the Gunners before being moved onto Barnsley in January.

The midfielder took to Twitter after Arsenal went 1-0 down to Anderlecht, to lay into the Gunners' transfer strategy.

Frimpong, who left the club permanently in January, said that Wenger would have been better off buying a defensive midfielder than £35m man Alexis Sanchez.

Frimpong, of course, did formerly play as a defensive midfielder for the Gunners.

He blasted Wenger for failing to buy a striker, defensive midfielder or a ‘f**king centre back’ in a truly amazing and foul-mouthed rant.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger even admitted at the club's AGM he erred by failing to sign a replacement for Thomas Vermaelen.

The Ghanaian's mood will no doubt have improved by the club's late fightback, and while the win helps, it continues to gloss over the issues raised.

That, realistically is all the club can do now until January when the transfer window opens, for now they just need to amass as many points as they can and hope the injuries clear up.

The Ghana international, who now plys his trade in Russia for for FC UFA, did cheer up by the end of the match, however, expressing his joy at Lukas Podolski's 90th-minute winner.

That, he said, was "dench", to quote his famous catchphrase.
