Ghana star Thomas Partey establishes himself at Atletico Madrid

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has emerged as an established member of the Atletico Madrid squad ahead of the new season.

The 24-year-old is expected to be a key cog of Diego Simeone side as the Spanish giants attempt to wrestle the La Lga crown from Real Madrid.

Atletico were forced to change the transfer plans on the Ghana international, who is a man in high demand in the English Premier League following ban by the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

Partey has been impressive in pre-season as he helped the side to clinch the 2017 Audi Cup at the expense of Liverpool.

The Ghanaian has stayed grounded amid the curse of the FIFA transfer ban, with Madrid having to rely on their activity in previous window to maintain standards.

But sadly, most signings made in 2015 have failed to make an impact with the club expected to ship out the flops.
