David Accam watches as his disallowed goal crosses the goal-line

Ghanaian starlet David Accam has rued his disallowed goal for Helsingborg in their 2-1 defeat at AIK Stockholm in the Swedish Allsvenskan on Sunday.

The 21-year-old had his 23rd minute ‘clean goal’ ruled out by center referee Markus Strömbergsson at the Råsundastadion.

Accam rounded up AIK goalkeeper Ivan Turina before sending a gleeful shot over the goal-line.

But referee Strömbergsson ruled out the goal for not crossing the goal-line.

And the former Right to Dream Academy graduate who joined the champions from third-tier side Östersunds FK, says he is yet to overcome the shock of the disallowed goal.

“I am feeling really bad but it is life and these things happen but you have to move on. I thought we will have won if the goal was allowed.” He said

Accam opened the scoring for Helsingborg on the 9th minute mark
