Ghana starlet Christian Atsu has agreed in principle to join English Premier League side Everton from giants Chelsea, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm. 

GHANAsoccernet.com confirmed on the 22-year-old is close to a switch to the Goodison Park for a season-long loan and the Toffees have moved even closer to securing his signature.

Chelsea left out the winger they signed from Portuguese giants FC Porto out of their pre-season squad and have considered a range of offers lined up for him.

The Blues have agreed to allow Atsu follow Romelu Lukaku to Everton as a loanee.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has identified Atsu as a perfect replacement for Spanish starlet Gerard Deulofeu who has rejoined Barcelona after finishing his loan contract at the club.

Atsu showed flashes of brilliance for Ghana at the World Cup and this has attracted huge interest around him.
