2014 World Cup: Ghana stars arrive for Tuesday's training session in Accra

Ghana’s World Cup stars have arrived for the team’s first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.

Head coach Kwesi Appiah will open a non-residential training camp starting today to trim the rough edges for the task ahead.

Captain Asamoah Gyan arrived from his UAE based on Monday afternoon and will lead the players who have arrived in country.

Italy-based Afriyie Acquah, Serie A winner Kwadwo Asamoah and Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu touched on Monday night and will join players like Harrison Afful, Rashid Sumaila and goalkeeper Stephen Adams.

In-form striker Majeed Waris is available and the Ayew brothers- Jordan and Andre- are ready for the exercise which will start at 16:00 GMT .

Russia-based duo Mohammed Rabiu and Mubarak Wakaso are expected to be part of the pack of players.

The Black Stars will them play a farewell game against a locally select side on Friday before leaving to Rotterdam to continue preparations.

They will face the Netherlands in a pre-World Cup friendly next Saturday. .
