AC Milan will be counting on the partnership of Ghanaian star duo of Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien to end their miserable run in the Italian Serie A on Friday night.

Both players are highly likely to be fielded by manager Clarence Seedorf at the Stadio San Siro where they host lowly Bologna.

Muntari, who sat out of the 3-1 humiliation at Napoli is expected to complete the entire duration of the match as Seedorf would like to rest other available midfielders for the game.

Muntari is suspended for the Uefa Champions League tie against Atletico Madrid but Essien who marked his debut in the defeat at Napoli could also play part.

Seedorf wants the midfielder to garner enough match-fitness and he will him into the game to boost his confidence ahead of the Atletico game.

Milan have trudged down to 11th place on the log but could go as far as ninth for the interim if they beat Bologna.
