Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan has begun pre-season training with Al Ain hours after arriving in Dubai from an extended vacation.
The Black Stars captain had to delay his return to his club following the disappearance of his musician friend Castro who is feared to have drowned during a holiday hangout in Ada.
The depressed Gyan however experienced some good times while in Ghana as he witnessed the birth of his first girl child.
The 28-year-old eventually flew into Dubai on Monday morning to a rapturuous reception by the Al Ain fans.
He showed up at the clubââ¬â¢s training grounds hours later to rejoin his teammates who have been in pre-season training for almost a month now.
Gyan exchanged pleasantries with his coach and teammates before quickly switching to serious business of the eveningââ¬â¢s session.
The ex Sunderland hitman is expected to feature for Al Ain in a pre-season friendly against Al Kuwaiti SC on Wednesday.
Gyan excelled in Ghana's disappointing World Cup campaign in Brazil where he emerged the all-time leading scorer of the Black Stars and became the African with the most goals scored in the history of the finals.
