Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan returned to training with the Black Stars on Saturday night showing that he is fit for Sunday's clash with Sudan in Kumasi.
The Black Stars captain was an injury concern for Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah on Friday but was passed fit to play in the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier.
He trained fully with the Black Stars as they did their final training session before the match at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Al Ain striker was withdrawn from training on Friday as a precautionary measure after complaining of thigh pains in the Black Starsââ¬â¢ friendly win over second tier Deportivo on Thursday.
Further examination of the feared injury Friday however showed no damage in the thigh.
This means the 27-year-old is back in contention for a place in Ghanaââ¬â¢s starting lineup for Sundayââ¬â¢s game at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The Ghana team doctors will however continue to monitor Gyanââ¬â¢s situation before the game on Sunday.
The ex Sunderland hitman is now expected to take part in the teamââ¬â¢s final training session on Saturday evening at the venue of the game to further prove his fitness.
