Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has criticised Spanish La Liga Elche FC for their treatment of him during his loan spell at the club two seasons ago.

Boakye, who now plies his trade with Serie A side Atalanta on loan from champions Juventus, netted six goals in 31 La Liga appearances for Elche in the 2013/14 season.

But the 22-year-old says he will not consider a return to the club due to bad treated melted out to him during his stint.

I was not treated fair at all during my time at Elche,” Boakye Yiadon said.

“I don’t know maybe the coach wasn’t impressed with my looks but I am a fine boy too.

“They didn’t give me enough opportunities and perhaps it is the reason I didn’t get picked for the [2014] World Cup.

“Why would I therefore want to return to such a club? It will never happen.”

The striker has netted three times for Atalanta in 19 games in the Serie A this season.
