Ghana striker David Accam says he will only join a club in major European league where he can be guaranteed regular game time.

The Helsingborg could leave this transfer window but the club have said they are yet to receive bids from suitors.

However, the 23-year-old says when the time comes, the right choice will be made for his to achieve his goals for playing for Ghana.

"I have the ambition to play for the national team and therefore my choice is important. I do not want to go to a team that does not increase my chances to getting into the national team,”

"It is important for me to take the next step but I do not want to rush. Most of the Ghanaian national team playing in Europe's top leagues. That's where I want."

Accam was named in Ghana’s pre-World Cup squad but could not make the cut to Brazil for the tournament.

He has scored 9 goals in 14 appearances in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
