Ghana striker David Accam grabbed the headlines with his goal celebration in Helsinborg’s 2-1 win over GAIS in the Swedish Cup quarter-final on Saturday.

Accam leveled for Helsinborg on 50 minutes after going down in the 6th minute through Bobby Warshaw.

He then took off his boot to "give me a call" to his mother who is back home in his native in Ghana.

‘‘I called home to mom - it is a new technology in this shoe,” Accam jokingly said about his celebration.

He added that his brothers keep a close eye on how things are going for him through the Internet.

“Yes, this was the best game in the preseason,” said Accam.
