Jordan Ayew played his first Ligue 1 match for Lorient on Saturday.

Ghana striker Jordan Ayew played his first French Ligue 1 match for FC Lorient on Saturday in their 0-0 home draw with Nice.

The former Marseille player was handed a starting role; picked up a yellow card on 22 minutes before being substituted on the 62nd minute mark.

The 22-year-old missed last week’s season opener-the famous 2-1 win at home-due to card related suspension.

Ayew aims to improve on the five goals he scored in 17 appearances for Sochaux in the second half of last season.
