Fresh reports in France have linked Olympique Marseille striker Jordan Ayew to a move to exciting Ligue 1 side Lille.

According to French Radio RMC, the Ayew family still has ties with the city, and now the club that finished third in Ligue 1 want to sign the younger of the two Ayews.

Jordan’s father Abedi made his breakthrough at northern club, scoring 16 goals in two seasons before making the move to Marseille.

Lille are reported to have made a bid of €4.5 million for the World Cup star to replace Belgian talent Divork Origi.

Jordan is unlikely to be earn regular playing time at Marseille despite new coach Marcelo Bielsa taking charge.

Last season, his loan spell at FC Sochaux was a huge success, and his run of six goals in the last ten games nearly helped Les Lionceaux stay in the division but got relegated.

The 22-year-old has been linked with moves to West Bromich Albion and Hull City.
