Hull City are looking for a new striker and Marseille's young Jordan Ayew could be the perfect fit to join the Premier League side this summer.

the 23-year-old enjoyed an encouraging loan spell at FC Sochaux this season with five goals in 16 starts.

The younger brother of the more famous Andre Ayew, the Ghanaian striker left Marseille on loan in January looking to play more first-team football after former OM boss Elie Baup failed to show a lot of faith in the young centre-forward.

Former Zambia boss Hervé Renard showed his ability in getting the best out of African players by inspiring the younger Ayew into a dangerous and clinical striker.

Once the forward found his feet and got settled into the Sochaux team and tactics, he ended the season with five goals in 10 games, and was a crucial part of Sochaux’s fight for survival.

Sochaux went on a run of seven games unbeaten up until the penultimate game of the season, Ayew scored vital goals in the 36thand 37th game of the season that gave Sochaux a glimmer of hope that they could survive in Ligue 1.

Unfortunately, they lost the final game of the season against Evian, finishing 18th in the league, dropping to Ligue 2.

It was a great opportunity for Ayew and one that he took with both hands. In his last two full seasons for Marseille he averaged around 55 minutes per game, scoring seven times during the 2012/13 season. He averaged a goal every 281 minutes.

This season for Sochaux he averaged 79 minutes per game and scored on average every 271 minutes. It may not seem like a huge jump, but when you look at the way he played in the last 10 games, you would have banked him to score around 15 goals if he played the whole season under Renard.

The youngest Ayew has now grown-up and is looking for a team to give him the break he deserves. Hull City could be the perfect fit for a tenacious and hungry striker.

Yannick Sagbo and Danny Graham have failed to find the goals. Ayew could be the ideal player to transform from a lion into a tiger next season.
