Ghana striker Jordan Ayew will wear the no.10 jersey at his new club Aston Villa.

The 23-year-old signed a five year contract to complete his switch from Lorient on Monday.

Jordan joins his elder brother, Andre - who joined Swansea - in the English too flight.

And just like his brother, Jordan will also be wearing the no.10 jersey at Villa.

The Ghana striker says he had to chose the iconic number since his favourite no.9 is already occupied at his new club.

"That is the only number available," he said.

"The no.9 jersey is already with someone and the others left is 40 going so that is why I chose the no.10."
