Former Ghana youth striker Kwame Nsor joined his Metz team-mates and officials on the podium on Friday night to celebrate their victory as they were officially crowned champions of French Ligue 2. 

There was massive jubilations at the Stade Saint-Symphorien and the 21-year-old who is nursing an injury, happily celebrated on the night of his debut career medal and Metz's promotion though it happened three weeks ago.

"It was a great night for me and the team and the entire supporters. It was a dream we had from the start of the season and finally we realised it and crowned champions," he said.

Metz rounded up their campaign with a comprehensive 3-0 thrashing of Le Havre to finish the season with 75 points, 13 points better than second-placed Caen.

The former Wa All Stars returned to Metz from German side Kaiserslautern in September as a free agent and contributed 3 league goals in 10 appearances.
