Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris is eager to know his new team-mates at Lorient as he looks set to make his club for the club on Sunday evening.

The 23-year-old arrived at Lorient on a 3-year-contract from Turkish side Trabzonspor and is set to make his Ligue 1 debut for the club against Bastia.

Waris admits he has not met any of Lorient's players personally during his previous Ligue 1 spell with relegated Valenciennes but is eager to gel with them.

"I know some players by name, but not personally. I will learn to know all the weeks," he revealed.

"I'm trying to get to know them. I must quickly get to know them to quickly integrate me to the dressing room but also on the ground," he added.

Waris netted 9 times in 16 appearances for Valenciennes two seasons ago and is counting on his scoring experience in the French top-flight to flourish.
