Lorient new signing Abdul Majeed Waris has refused to set goals target for himself at the Ligue 1 side but vowed to do his best this term.

The Black Stars striker, who scored 9 goals in 16 matches for Valenciennes as a lonee two seasons ago, is expecting to hit the ground running.

Waris was named in the Lorient squad for their trip to Lyon last Sunday but could not make his debut because of incomplete registration.

"I won't set any goal target for myself. I know most of my fans will expect me to score goals as soon as I start playing but I won't set any target," Waris told www.GHANASoccernet.com

"Am going to continue to work really hard and take as many chances as possible but the moat important thing is the team winning and being in a good position."

The 23-year-old has previously played for BK Hacken (Sweden), Spartak Moscow (Russia), Valenciennes (France) and his last club was Trabzonspor (Turkey).
