Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris has sent congratulatory message to his former club BK Hacken and Ghanaian trio Nasiru Mohammed, Mohammed Abubakari and Baba Mensah for winning the Swedish Cup title.

Hacken claimed the lucrative title after beating favourites Malmo FF 6-5 on penalties at the Swedbank Stadion on Thursday.

Nasiru Mohammed scored twice in the second-half to power Hacken's comeback after going 2-0 down in the first-half.

Waris came close to winning the title with Hacken in 2012 but was eliminated at the knock out rounds.

He has expressed his joy for his former Ghanaian team-mate Nasiru Mohammed, Abubakari as well as Baba Mensah who were all in the Hacken team for the game.

Waris spent three seasons at Hacken, winning the Golden boot award after scoring 23 league goals to emerge the Allsvenskan top-scorer in 2012. He also finished second runner-up to Johan Elmander as Zlatan Ibrahimovic won the ultimate.
