Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris trained separately from the Valenciennes first team squad on Friday on his first day at the club, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The 22-year-old ran around the Valenciennes training complex morning and performed light ball works on Friday while the rest of the club's first team squad were involved in intensive training.

Valenciennes manager Ariël Jacobs is seriously getting his side ready for their Coupe de France game against Stade Rennes at the Route de la Lorient.

The Black Stars striker completed a six-month loan switch to the club from Russian Premier League giants Spartak Moscow on Thursday.
