Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena is refusing to rule out a move to English Premier League side Brighton despite the reluctance of his Swiss club FC Zurich.

Ghana's leading football news outfit www.ghanasoccernet.com exclusively revealed the newly-promoted Premier League side's interest in the Ghana attacker on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old is facing a remarkable career jump with the mouth-watering offer for his Zurich-based club as well as irresistible personal terms.

Brighton slapped a shock £8m offer to sign Ghana striker to sign him from FC Zurich but the Swiss side said they are not keen on releasing the player.

Despite claiming lack of knowledge in the interest from Brighton, Dwamena is open to the move to England saying things change quickly in the industry.

“I have not heard anything yet, I am currently a FCZ player, but it can happen quickly in football. I’m still very young,” Dwamena said when  asked about the move to Brighton.

FC Zurich have confirmed that they have received several offers for the unassuming striker from several clubs in the top leagues of Europe.

The Premier League club's offer was placed on Wednesday night to force the Swiss top-flight club to release the explosive attacker just six months after joining them from Austria.

Brighton's offer comes as a shock for Dwamena who is only moved from the Austrian second tier club Lustenau as the end of January .

The Swiss side bought the striker for about £250,000 just six months ago from Austria Lustenau and will make a decent profit of £7, 750,000 if they allow him to move.

However FC Zurich President Ancillo Canepa says they are in a sound financial position not to hurriedly sell their highly-rated Ghanaian attacker.

Even though they are reluctant to release the Black Stars striker for the amount offered, the leader of the Swiss giants won't rule out a sale of the player if the right price is met.

"We've always had inquiries for him on the table, and yes, we currently have an offer from England but we do not want to sell him for sporting reasons," President Canepa said.

"Sure, when a certain scale is reached, you have to do the business as a Swiss club for economic reasons.

"So I do not want to exclude a sale, but so far there is no offer at a financial level where I would be nervous.

"We have no economic need to surrender to Dwamena."

Dwamena will be a sporting loss for Zurich if he leaves but 1600% profit represent a business for FC Zurich if they accept the offer from Brighton.

With twelve goals in 18 games, the attacker from Ghana helped Zurich win their promotion to the top-flight.

In the current Super League season, Dwamena have scored two goals in three games - both against ÖFB goalie Heinz Lindner in the 2-0 derby win over Grasshoppers.
