Roda JC Kerkrade striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has been handed a two-match ban by the Dutch football federation for elbowing a Feyenoord player on his debut.

The 22-year-old was found guilty for the challenge on defender Rick Karsdorp last Sunday on his debut where he was adjudged man of the match.

Referee P. van Boekel and his assistants T. Hoekstra and J. de Vries did not capture the incident during the match.

Roda JC Kerkrade have accepted the ban and will not appeal the decision.

As a result, Boakye missed Wednesday’s Cup match against De Treffers and will sit out the trip to FC Twente on Sunday in the Eredivisie.
