Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris will not make his debut for French side Valenciennes on Saturday due to paperwork, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively confirm.

Valenciennes manager Ariël Jacobs will not be able to include the Spartak Moscow loanee in his 18-man squad for their trip to the Route de la Lorient to face Stade Rennes in a Coupe de France tie due to the striker's late arrival.

Waris completed his six-month loan move to the Stade du Hainaut on Thursday evening and Les Athéniens could not have enough time to work on his documents to enable him travel with the team.

However, the Black Stars striker will mark his official debut for the struggling Ligue 1 side on January 11 when they play against Bastia in the French Ligue 1.
