Ghana will be seeded for the final qualifying round of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.

This was after the Confederation of African Football announced the seeding system for the final eliminator.

The continent's governing body says it will use performances at the last three Nations Cup finals to decide the top 15 seeds.

They will be drawn to face a team from the bottom ranked 15 countries.

The Black Stars have finished in the medal zone of those competitions including a silver-medal winning feat at the 2010 edition in Angola.

Finalists at the 2012 Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea will be joined by 14 qualifiers from the previous round for the draw.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations will be hosted by South Africa.
