Ghana are likely to drop in the FIFA rankings in June following the Cosafa Cup defeat to Madagascar.

The Local Black Stars suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Madagascan side at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Monday.

The Ghanaians are likely to drop on the FIFA rankings as the game is a FIFA recognized match and will therefore have an effect on the rankings next month.

Ghana are currently 26th on the table and remain the third best national team on the continent with Algeria (20th) and Cote D'Ivoire (23) occupying the first and second positions respectively.
