Football Association of Malawi (Fam) has said Ghana national football team will be training at the African Bible College (ABC) ground in Lilongwe.

Ghana officials were in the country over the weekend to see where their team would be accommodated and training.

The officials came in the country ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations second leg qualifier against the Flames at Civo Stadium on October 13.

During their visit, the officials also had a look at the venue of the match which is currently undergoing renovations and said they were impressed with the pitch.

Fam's executive member James Mwenda, who welcomed the officials, disclosed that the Ghana delegation would be checking-in at Golden Peacock Hotel.

He said so far the officials were happy with their training ground and where they would be accommodated.

"The officials are very happy with the places," he said.

Meanwhile, Mwenda, who is also overseeing the renovations of Civo Stadium, said so far work on the pitch had been finalised.

However, he said they were just remaining with the slashing of the grass.

He added that work on the perimeter fence was also about to finish.
