The Black Meteors recorded a 3-2 win over Premiership side AshantiGold on Sunday in an All Africa Games warm-up match.

The match played at the El-Wak Stadium is the final friendly game for the national U-23 side before emplaning to South Africa for a training tour ahead of the tournament in Maputo, Mozambique.

Goals from strikers, Gilbert Fiamenyo, Mahatma Otoo and Uriah Asante proved too strong for the Obuasi-lads who gave a good account of themselves on the day.

Coach Akwasi Appiah is now set to trim down his squad before the team leaves for their training tour of which date is not certain.
