Ghana U20 assistant coach Yaw Preko has insisted goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi deserves a chance with Avram Grant's Black Stars squad.

The 18-year-old talented glovesman earned raving reviews following his impressive displays in between the sticks for Ghana's Black Satellites during the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Ati-Zigi, who plays for Austrian Bundesliga side Red Bull Salzburg, wowed fans with his sparkling feline agility and precocity.

Preko, a former Ghana international winger, believes 171 cm keeper is matured for Black Stars.

"If Avram Grant decides to call him into his team, I will defend it any day. Ati showed impressive reflexes and show enough maturity," he told Accra-based Oman FM.

The goalkeeper spent last season on loan at Liefering in the Austrian second-tier league where he made six league appearances.
