Ghana U20 captain Owusu Bempah remains defiant about their chances to progress past Gabon in the qualifiers for the 2015 African Youth Championship.

The Black Satellites were held to a disappointing 0-0 by the Gabone side in the first leg tie at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

The Ghanaian looked out of ideas as they labored to a pulsating draw against a well determined side in front of their home fans.

The 2009 World champions will travel to Libreville in two weeks time for the reverse fixture and the Hearts defender has called for calm heads.

“It’s obviously a disappointing result but we should not get overly worried, “he said

“We have found ourselves in such situations in the past and we overcame the obstacle.

“They came here with a well rehearsed plan and it worked for them but we have the second leg to play.

“It’s all to play for in the second leg. I will plead with Ghanaian to pray and support us. We’ll qualify to the next stage of the qualifying campaign.”
