Ghana Under-20head coach Orlando Wellington will be without Hearts of Oak duo Karim Alhassan and Edwin Osei Pele for next week’s international friendly against Bulgaria. Hearts say the two players will be needed for their crucial league tie against Mighty Jets on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The club lost to city rivals Liberty Professionals last week and are keen to get back to winning ways and hence the decision to withdraw the two players from the 18-man squad.

Wellington picked an entirely locally-based side which will depart for the test match on Saturday night.

The Berekum Chelsea coach wants to build a formidable squad ahead of the defence of the African Under-20 title they won in 2009.

The match will be played at the Lokomotiv Stadium in Mezdra on 16 November.
