Sulley Mohammed and Paul Asare are out of U20 qualifier against Sierra Leone

Black Satellites assistant trainer Yaw Preko has confirmed influential duo Sulley Mohammed and Paul Asare will miss the weekend's African Youth Championship qualifier against Sierra Leone.

The pair, both members of the 2014 Ghana CHAN squad that won silver in South Africa, have not been able to train with team for up to three weeks and Preko has confirmed the will miss out of the first-leg tie in Bo - Sierra Leone's second biggest city.

"Sulley Mohammed is injured and will not be with squad for the game and also Paul Asare suffered a hamstring which rules him out," the former Ghana international winger told Accra-based Asempa FM.

With the duo out, Hearts of Oak winger Eric Kumi is expected to handle the mantle in attacker with Sekondi Hasaacas's Samuel Afful among the strikeforce.

Kotoko's impressive full-back Christopher Bonney and Hearts's Owusu Bempah will be key for the squad. New Edubiase teen Asiedu Attobrah will also missed the tie as he is on trials with German Bundesliga II side St Pauli.
