Ghana’s Olympic team coach Malik Jabir claims all confusion surrounding the arrangements of their friendly matches have been resolved.

The Black Meteors were originally scheduled to play their Egyptian counterparts in an international friendly earlier this month but the game was eventually cancelled.

Egypt pulled out of the friendly over attempts to use Ghana’s U20 team instead of the Olympic team.

And coach Malik Jabir concedes this confusion has hurt his side’s preparations towards their qualifiers but says these issues have been resolved.

“We get very worried by such situations,” he told Hot FM.

“But we have discussed this with the President [of Ghana FA] and I believe it has been resolved.”

Ghana’s Olympic team have not qualified to major international tournament over the last eight years due to improper planning and lack of attention and only came into the limelight after winning gold at the last African championship in Maputo, Mozambique in 2011.
