Ghana U23 management chief raises fears over officiating in Olympic Games qualifier against Congo

Ghana U23 management committee chairman Mathew Doe fears his team could suffer from poor officiating in their crucial 2016 Olympic Games qualifier against Congo.

The Black Meteors emplane for the return leg in Dolisie this weekend having secured a narrow 1-0 win in the first leg clash last weekend.

The slim cushion secured in the first leg put Ghana at risk of making an early exit from the qualifiers towards the 2016 Olympic Games to be staged in Rio.

Mathew Doe is confident his team will reign supreme in the return leg but fears the side could be robbed by the referee on enemy’s territory.

“Usually on the continent games are played with referees and that is my only fear,” he said.

“I believe you all saw the kind of officiating that went on when they played here.

“But we need to go there and play our own game.

“I believe that if we play our own game and up our performance, we will sail through.”
