Ghana wideman Quincy Owusu-Abeyie wants to retire in 2022

Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie insists he could play top level football for seven more years before calling time on his football career.

Abeyie, 29, is clubless after leaving Portuguese side Boavista in February this year.

The former Arsenal star, who has been linked with Feyernord in recent times, insists he has more footballing years ahead of him, setting 2022 as the likely year to end his career. “The best is yet to come. I can certainly play seven years of professional football,” he is quoted by AD Sportwereld.

“I am 29, very fit, train every day for myself, but miss the field, the game and the guys in the locker room. And believe me, I can still make a difference.”

The well-traveled man has played in England, Russia,Spain, Portugal and Qatar.
