Ghana winger Albert Adomah is among the three key Middlesbrough players who are walking a disciplinary tightrope when they clash with Rotherham today in the England second tier.

George Friend, Ryan Fredericks and Adomah will all be stepping carefully at the New York Stadium on Saturday.

Adomah and two of his team-mates have all received four bookings so far this season and are therefore just one yellow card away from a ban.

All three are important members of Aitor Karanka's first team.

The head coach does have replacements who can stand in, of course, with Emilio Nsue ready to deputise for both Fredericks, at right-back, and Adomah, on the right side of midfield.

James Husband, meanwhile, would welcome the opportunity to stand-in for Friend.

Adomah has already been suspended once this season, sitting out the 1-1 home draw with Blackpool after being sent-off at Charlton for committing two yellow card offences.
