Ghana international winger Christian Atsu has targeted a starting spot in Bournemouth's line-up for their English Premier League clash against Stoke City on Saturday.

The on-loan Chelsea player started his first game of the season for the Cherries in midweek as they progressed through to the next round of the English League Cup after beating Preston North End.

"I think now the coaches believe I am fit and ready to help the team in the League so maybe, I will get my chance against Stoke on Saturday," he told reporters.

"The injury troubled me a lot, but I thank God that it was a brief one and I am back to playing again. All I want to do is play and now that I am playing there’s no looking back."

Though the former FC Porto starlet is keen to start but he must win a place in Eddie Howe's squad as the Premier League debutantes appear comfortable with their winning squad.
