The Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi says the womens U-17 team will be appropriately rewarded for qualifying the nation to the 2012 World Cup.

The Black Maidens thrashed the South African counterparts 5-1 on Friday to book the first of three African slots for the World Cup to be hosted in Azerbaijan.

And Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi says a package has already been agreed upon to reward the team for making it to the mundial for an unprecedented third successive time.

“I would like to take the opportunity to thank the girls for qualifying for their third successive World Cup, it is no mean achievement,” he said.

“They have done extremely well and deserve to be appropriately rewarded and I can tell you a bonus package has already been agreed upon to thank them for their efforts.”

The Maidens will be looking to do even better this time around on the World stage after their first round elimination in the last World Cup in New Zealand 2008.
