Ghanaian forward Samuel Afum is set to mark his debut in Europe's flagship second-tier club competition - the Europa League, as his BSC Young Boys side have been drawn against Cypriot side Ermis Aradippou FC.
The 23-year-old moved to Europe just two seasons ago from Egyptian Premier League side FC Smouha but is set to debut in the prestigious competition after helping his side finish in a qualification spot last season.
Young Boys are billed to kick start their European campaign after a four season absence and they will host the Cypriot side at their favourite STADE DE SUISSE Wankdorf Bern in a third round qualifying tie on the last day of July.
After exhibiting explosive attacking qualities in Young Boys' 2-2 season opener at St Gallen, by coming off the bench to score what proved to be a point-winning goal for Boys, the former Hearts Hearts of Oak goal-getter is expected to shine on his debut appearance in the competition.
