Former Ghana youth attacker Shaibu Yakubu has been included in the 1461 Trabzon squad to face Manisaspor in the Turkish second-tier as he makes a return from a short-term injury problem.
The 27-year-old pulled out of training last Wednesday and could not get fielded for Trabzon's 1-1 stalemate with Kar??yaka last Sunday.
But the former AshGold forward returned to training on Tuesday and manager Ekram Al has included him in his 18-man squad to their must-win clash with Manisaspor at the 19 Mayis Stadyumu.
"I've trained this week and I'm in the squad for the game on Sunday," he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
Trabzon, who have two Ghanaians - former Hearts of Oak whizkid Torric Jebrin and Yakubu, have dropped into the relegation-zone and must record a positive results if they are to keep alive their hopes of remaining on the Turkish second-tier league.
Jebrin's season is over with a knee injury but Yakubu who was a member of the 2004 Ghana Olympics squad, would still be key for their survival campaign as he has an enormous experience in the Turkish second-tier.
His new role as a winger has had a negative effect on his scoring rate as he has netted just twice in 23 games.
