The youngster has been punished by the Eagles for breaking the Premier League rules but that will not wash way his attempted heroics.

Kwadwo Baah ran onto the pitch and conveniently placed the ball on the edge of Adrian’s six-yard box after the Hammer’s goalkeeper showed little interest in collecting the ball from behind the goal, delaying yet another free kick as Palace trailed 0-1.

In an interview with Crystal Palace TV, Kwadwo said: “I saw the players getting really angry that the keeper was taking really long.

“The crowd started booing the keeper, so I got really angry as well.”

The Hammmers won 1-0 to climb out of the relegation zone.
