Ghanaian champions Kotoko unveil EIGHT new signings

Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko presented eight new players to their fans on Sunday for the upcoming 2014/2015 season.

The ceremony took place at the Baba Yara Stadium and coincided with the club’s 79th anniversary celebration.

Kotoko have acquired striker Samad Oppong, who played in Cyprus last season, centre-back Akwasi Acheampong, Obed Owusu (formerly of Berekum Chelsea), Richard Oti (Medeama), Ivorian import Mamadou Kone and Goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi from Amidaus.

The rest are goalkeeper Felix Annan, who is back to his mother club after being loaned to RTU, Kwadwo Poku, was on loan at Heart of Lions last season.

Kotoko’s latest signings are to boost their chances of reaching the Group stage of the 2014 CAF Champions League.
