"Ghanaian clubs can attract sponsors"-Jamil Maraby

Football marketing expert Jamil Maraby claims local clubs have the potential to attract lucrative sponsorship deals if they restructure.

Clubs in the top flight lack the financial wherewithal to make quality signings and improve facilities.

No Ghanaian side have been able to qualify to the money zones of either the Caf Champions League or Confederation.

Maraby, a sponsorship consultant for the Ghana League Clubs Association, helped land sponsorship deals for FC Nania then a third-tier side.

The Chief Executive of Avanti Solutions also brokered the MTN deal for FA Cup which is currently on-going.

"The clubs can do it but it's up to them. Companies want to be associated with football but they need to be convinced. I remember signing a telephony deal for Eleven Wise when the club was in the second-tier," Maraby told GHANAsoccernet.com
