Ex-Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will be under spotlight when he makes a debut on the touchline in the East Africa regional CECAFA Kagame Cup.

His side Al Khartoum gets their tournament underway with an early kick off against Djibouti’s Telecom at national stadium Dar es Salaam on Monday.

Telecom lost their opening game against KMKM of Zanzibar at Karume and understand that at worst, a point will keep their hopes of reaching the last eight alive in a group that has giants Gor Mahia and Yanga who are they yet to face.

The Sudan side will have among others Kenyan international Teddy Akumu in their ranks.

In the late kick off of the day, Gor Mahia face off against KMKM with either side looking for a spot in the last eight after triumphing in their openers.
