French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah has arrived at Belgian giants Anderlecht to begin training.

Appiah,23, signed a 5-year-contract after leaving French side Caen.

Anderlecht posted a picture of the versatile right-back on their Twitter handle welcoming him to the club.

Appiah was born to Ghanaian parents in France and he has declared his intentions to represent the West African giants.

He was the most consistent outfield player in the French Ligue 1 last season after playing every single minute of Caen's campaign.

The enterprising defender, who scored once last term, started his career with AS Monaco - playing through the youth ranks before enjoying first team football under Claudia Ranieri in the Ligue 2.
