Ghanaian defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh insists it was an easy decision to join Eintracht Braunschweig despite heavy interest from Stuttgart and Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The 23-year-old joined the German second-tier side on a free transfer from relegated VFR Aalen.
The highly-rated right-back attracted interest from Stuttgart and Borussia Mönchengladbach but the powerful defender opted to stay in the German second-tier league.
He says he had no difficulties choosing Eintracht Braunschweig.
"I had very good conversations with the board, who convinced me from the outset,†he said
I had some very positive talks with those responsible here. They were very convincing and made my decision to move to Braunschweig very easy," he told the club's official website
"Eintracht is a great club, with super fans and very familiar surroundings. I also grew up in the north of Germany and I am very happy to be back now. What really counts though are the sporting prospects."
Ofosu-Ayeh completed his season with great personal success having played 32 matches for the relegated German side Aalen.
The defender, whose father is a Ghanaian, was raised in in the German town of Wilhelmshaven and previously played for MSV Duisburg and Rot-Weiß Erfurt.
