Ghanaian duo Awal and Yakubu Mohammed were in action as Raja Casablanca rallied from a goal down to win 2-1 away to JSM Laayoune.

Two goals from Youssef Kaddioui ensured the Green castle came from a goal down to book their place in the next round of the Moroccan Federation Cup where they will take on Kawkab Marrakech.

The Moroccan giants have responded to their failure to win the league and crashing out of the CAF Confederation Cup with the signing of highly rated Ghana central defender Awal Mohammed and two of Ghana’s inform strikers Nathaniel Asamoah and Yakubu Mohammed.

Awal’s influence on the game was clear from onset and he cut off the threat posed by Laayoune striker Abdoulaye Thadai.

Former AshGold striker Nathaniel Asamoah who joined the club last week was given fifteen minutes and he rifled a strike off the post in his little time on the pitch.

Fellow  Ghanaian striker  Nathaniel Asamoah was an unused substitute.
