Ghanaian duo Francis Coffie and Augustine Okrah will receive $4000 each for El Merriekh’s progress in the CAF Champions League at the expense of Esperance.

Both Ghanaian players started the match which ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Sudanese club in Tunis.

But Merriekh, having won the first leg encounter by a lone goal progressed on the away goal’s rule after the tie had ended in a 2-2 draw.

The amount is the reward promised each player in the entire El Merreikh team once they make it through to the group stage of this season’s continental club contest.

Harrison Afful’s Esperance who have been so dominant in the CAF Champions League in recent years in the end had to succumb to the force of the Red Devils.

They now drop into the final qualification phase of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Okrah and Coffie have both been influential for the Sudanese giants both in their domestic and continental campaigns.
