Ghanaian football fans have been offered free entry to watch the country's Super Cup clash between Ashantigold and Medeama on Sunday.

The new move is one several being adopted by the FA to attract fans to the stadium this season.

Ashantigold, who won the Ghana Premier League title for the first time in 19-years, will lock horns with FA Cup holders Medeama at the Accra Sports stadium.

"Over the past few months we have been debating how we can show our appreciation to the fans for the support they have given local football," Ghana FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara told the FA's official website.

"We have different suggestions on how we can show our appreciation to the fans. One of the key ideas was the suggestion that we make this gesture and we thought its was great idea.

"So we are calling on supporters of all the clubs in Ghana, the various supporter groups and the ordinary football fans to come to the stadium on Sunday and enjoy this game for free."
