French-born Ghanaian forward Grejohn Kyei is delighted with his maiden goal of the season for Stade Reims in the French Ligue 1.

The 20-year-old grabbed his first goal of the season in an inspirational performance for Reims as they posted a commanding 4-1 victory over Lorient on Saturday afternoon.

Kyei instinctively connected home an effort inside the box in the 66th minute before being replaced two minutes later.

The striker, who signed a professional contract in April 2014, has spoken of his delight for the victory and the maximum points secured from the game.

He took to his official Twitter page to express his joy about the strike which marks his second on the top-flight after scoring his first ever Ligue 1 goal last season in January 2015.

Born to Ghanaian parents in France, Kyei hardly speaks English and expressed himself in French in the post: "Very good victory for the side and mine is very good for my morale. Congratulations to Turan Atila, Gaëtan Charbonnier and Theo-son Jordan for their goals as well."

The victory has temporary fired Reims to the summit of the table with 9 points from four games though there are games scheduled for Sunday.
